Centipedes have venom glands, kind of like arachneds. They're carnivorous and eat whatever they can get their hands on. A recent paper looked at the mecology of this island somewhere in the pacific,. And it turns out that there are large chocalococode centipedes on the island. The number one cause of mortality for these bird chicks is eating them.
