The Divide Between Liberals and Conservatives in the US

You've written that since Francis was elected 10 years ago, we've seen a divide among the US bishops. Not between liberals and conservatives so much as between what you call culture warrior bishops and culture of encounter bishops. It stands out in my mind because I think I guess I'm a cynical person in some way. This is someone who was not living this life because he had ambitions of being pope. He thought his chance was over. That was simply an encounter with the poor.
