The first is confusion and distraction. Unless people have the full picture of a company, understanding how all the information presented to you works together becomes incredibly difficult. And because it's so difficult, it can lead to employs spending time on the wrong things - within their job. Information overload becomes a very real thing. Second drawback of hob spot strategy is what i call the emotional rolla coaster. It's similar to what i described with the morning brew and insider acquisition and deciding not to share everything about the potential acquisition.
In this episode, I discuss why implementing the right amount of transparency in a company builds trust and maximizes employees’ impact on customers.
