The Origins of the Starcar Artefacts

Ian Panter is Head of Conservation at York Archaeological Trust. He has been involved in the conservation of artefacts from Starcar. The lake was four, five kilometres long and a kilometre across 11,000 years ago. All around the edge of that lake we've got evidence for human activity. We find their bone, antler tools and wooden structures.
