The Purpose of John's Gospel

In the coming ages, we will look back on the resurrection as the ultimate act of divine jujitsu. Jesus receiving into himself the great bulk of death redirects the awful energy of death into the service of renewal. That's the defining hope of all who believe in Jesus Christ and that is the point of our text this morning,. believing in Jesus Christ.
