I just completely lucked into that job. I was by chance it changed my whole life. And it taught me how to edit and write. At that point, it was still very much a kind of old school, but high modernist publication. There was a graphic designer for it named David Sterling who found something called Devil Space. It was a grounding for me as well and a particular idea about the role of design.
