Is There Anything That Can Be Done About Label Law?
In the early New Deal period, in response to the first Gilded Age, there was an effort to have these sort of quasi-governmental bodies where you would have government actors or representatives from civil society. And so you could imagine the same thing here. One alternative is as some have suggested, a kind of federal agency that is charged with making the kind of very detailed technical regulatory decisions about the rules of the road for social media companies.
