The Federal Reserve Pumping Liquidity Into the Economy

After the great financial crisis in 2008 and 2009 the Fed under Ben Bernanke made a decision to really pump a lot of money. Between 2010 and 2021 the S&P went up 15 percent a year on average. It is not unreasonable to say that the Federal Reserve pumping liquidity into the system was a part of that outperformance.
