How to Express Abstract Concepts in Art
A lot of our experience with images, especially in the West, is in an illustrative form. And when we're experimenting like this whole past century in a big way with abstraction and that kind of thing, but to a large degree that leaves us kind of cold. So being so clear and spelling it out seems like an illustration and does not seem like art. Does that make sense somewhat? It does.
