The Impact of Affirmation on the Bible
A lot has been written about whether or not the Bible will be lost if we become affirming. When they were struggling with abolition, there were lots and lots of people who said, come on, let's get real. People still use their staunch defenciest slavery as evidence that the Bible can't be trusted. And it's so easy for us to vilify them, but we have to understand that they were sincere.
