i like what you said about how sometimes the soil needs to be disrupted and overturned simply to breathe and live and be soil. But when we move into the language of gardening, which you just briefly did, a particularly weeding and invasive species, i get uneasy because of the long history of its use by the far right. I do wonder, who gets to be the gardener? Who gets to weed? How do we know that the things getting weeded out aren't simply a reproduction of the genicidal distopias that support so many utopias? And this whole thing makes me feel like this is about the imagination battle, right? Like a, we can battle about the garden
