A reporter for Denver's 5280 magazine did a story on the heenies in 2019. With Mayou me's approval, her lawyer allowed Robert to look at her case files from 10 years ago. In that box of files, there are lots of photocopied past, due notices from 2009. There was also a sheriff's report that stated the filmmakers were not going to do business with the family anymore.
