Students are actually usually more engaged in my modern classrooms teaching than they were previously when i was doing traditional lessons. I think a great metaphor for this is controlled chaos. When we're able to use the progress tracker effectively, we actually are having some degree of control. And if and when i do see a student getting off task, which obviously does happen in any class room, modern class room or traditional.
