CHAPTER

Len and the Hunter Walked Out to the Edge of the Woods.

Bob Greene: A setter chased a wild duck across the road. He and his wife watched in horror as it flew away, only to be caught by two hunters. The dog's nose almost reached the bird's tail before one of them pulled him down. Greene says he tried to explain what was going on but didn't get anywhere. "He thinks we're crazy," my wife said when she got back into the car.
