The Morning Routine
I tend to make one to two playlists per book because it's the somatic address of the book. The same 12 to 15 songs while I'm writing. Usually the coffee is brewing within two minutes of I'm awake and I'm writing by in three or four minutes. So that's how I start up pretty much every day. And 95% of my days start this way and this is what works best for me. My goal is to get from my bed to my desk fast enough that my brain is still an alpha, which is where I want to be for writing.
