The Importance of Deep Thought
"I wanted to think for myself. I was not really trying to be on my own," he says. "How can you go from all these wonderful thoughts about human equality, and the end of poverty?" Orwell thought atomic wars would dominate the old globe in three different forms; how could that happen? He asks: How can enlightened age, an age loaded with advanced technology changing, improving every day? It's worthy of very deep thought."
