What's the Deal With Nato?

Nato is a military alliance of 30 countries that was founded in 19 forty nine, specifically as a way to intimidate and deter staland from trying to take eastern european states by force. And nato obviously had done its job. N whatever problems one might point to with regard to nato, its job had been to prevent another uno european war from happening. But now, you know, it's all bets are off, and it's unclear really what's going to happen.
