General Zapata's Campaign Lesson on Terrorism

Despite declaring victory in May 1916, the fighting in Marrelos only got worse. Zapata for the first time conceived of a campaign lesson in military terms. He was not focused so much on winning territory or defeating enemy forces as he was on wrecking Carranza's political legitimacy. On November the 7th, 1916, Zapatistas dynamited a train running along the line between Cornavaca and Mexico City.
