Dialectical Thinking: A Conflict Resolution Strategy
When you're angry, it's easy to get in your head and just think like that person is so wrong. It was a really good use of that time apart to try to actually put myself in the other person's position. So basically applying dialectical thinking, not only calmed you down, it also increased your empathy.
