What's Going on Over the Winter?
There's not going to be much offensive spirit, so keeping these guys going and in any kind of defensive posture is going to be a real effort. Trying to expect any sort of offensive spirit from them is just, I think, probably beyond what they're capable of. Jack Watley suggests that what Ukraine should concentrate on over the winter is small-scale raid to keep Russians in position. And he also makes the point about how until the ground freezes properly hardens, then any logistics are going to be very much fixed to roads - which again are known, targetable, and you can plan on that.
