C o p d is the acute exasperation of respiratory failure. The holy trinity, as josh calls it, altr sound those lungs and examine the heart, chest x ray and sig when you're starting there. A lot of our c o p d patients are going to be chronically hypercapnic. Just listen to your patient, examine them, and that's 80 to 90 % of the story right there.
