The Importance of Getting Feedback From Parents
I think the biggest misunderstanding is the difference between reinforcement and punishment. Punishment works in the moment research shows that works in the moments, which is why we stray away from it. Reinforcement is going to increase the behavior in the future. And so I think when you explain these things to parents and they understand, oh, that's why we're doing this. It just becomes a long term benefit for that child.
