The Rise of Student Housing Blocks in Modern Britain

Over the last five to ten years many UK cities' skylines have filled with garish student housing blocks. Scott writes, I'd be interested in seeing the government decided to sit on industries in 1900 thesis fleshed out more. Also, the collapse of human capital after World War I, is this just saying lots of people died in World War I? If so, how come this didn't happen in other deadly wars?
