Despite all the great advances in health care that have happened, technologically speaking, none the less, us life expectancy was on the way down for most of the decade before 20 20. And this, i hope, drives home what i was trying to say, that there is no actual, stable or progressive normalcy to which one could return in the first place. This fact, i think, is seen playing out now in the so called labor shortage, or great quit or great resignation. That the systems of the rhythms of life and work that one already knew before the onset of the pandemic were already un workable and unsustainable. So the supposedly normal functioning of society cannot simply resume.
