Mohammed akbar was born in 17 59, just a couple of years after the battle of placy. His father and his elder brother both joined the east india company's bengal regiment. He quickly reached the officer rank of asumedar, one of the highest ranks that indian native soldiers could for. The highest rank would be subitar major - comparable to an officer of a major rank.
