Eco-modernism is the idea that we can get ourselves out of a crisis by improving technology. But Luddites were also fighting over relations of production, not just forces of production. So I think eco modernists fetishise the forces of production without thinking necessarily about the relations of production that are produced by those technologies. We need to in one way recuperate Luddites because it's doing the right thing against eco modernists.
