Are We in a Housing Crisis?
Housing has been a crisis every generation for 200 years. What we are in is a normal private market in housing outcome. We have certain types of cycles in private markets, booms and busts. So my big picture view on housing is, well, private housing markets get you a certain outcome. And if we're happy with that, fine. If we think we can do better, we could try having private markets and public alternatives like we do in healthcare.
