"I didn't grow up playing football. It didn't even occur to me that I should," she says. "It's because we don't recognize the whole piece of history, the 50-year ban on the women's game in this country." The idea was and still is lodged in our society as though women just don't biologically have the ability to play sport or to play football,. There's something innate within us that makes it not possible.
