Is This Theory Informing Trauma?

I've always wondered why humans like watching other sick humans act out. Does this theory in any way help us understand why people do that? Why we look toward that? Well, I would think in terms of opera, you know, I would go with the, you're being led by the music and the music is,. but it's dramatic music about horrible things, tragedies, and people misbehaving and drawing death and violence. But it's pulling you in with the prosodic orchestra.
