The Real Problem of Socialism Is Not Incentives
I think the incentives around e science and economics are quite blatantly conflicted, in a way that is obvious to everybody who should know economics. And i think the key concept that is really important in my mind is there is no opportunity o cost for the central planner. That necessarily results in the collapse of socialism as an economic coordination mechanism. Without private ownership, there can be no division of labor or extensive economic capitalist system. It's exactly the same thing that happens in the process of education and in academic research. Because there is one buyer - it's the government that buys for everybody.
