Father Mike: David claims Absalom as his son, but it isn't until he has lost his son that he says so. He asks what is it to be claimed? What is it to not be claimed? Father Mike: God the father claims you as his son and daughter. It doesn't take this tragedy for him to claim you because he claims you from the moment of your baptism. So let's pray for each other.
