How to Exit a Trading Trader
The trend, the underlying economics. starts running out usually before the share price because there's so many trend followers in this world. What I found is that my exits, if you bought all my winners and held on for about six more months, you probably had the best performing hedge fund in the galaxy. The hard part is holding onto the money once you've made it. That's something that took me 20 years to figure out. And so I'd rather exit and let someone get that last little puff on my name and go into the next name.
