The ball thing's a little weird to me, but everything else is good. The scene reminds the audience from the last episode of career day. His house is her house and you without needing to spell it out with a ton of exposition very quickly understand that he's like, you're leaving your things in my house. He does not feel as though his space is her space. So I couldn't think of a better way to explain that dynamic without having it to be one too much exposition, which yeah.
