How to Talk About Life and Death
You talk about life and death in a way that i don't think we hear enough in the west. One mistake recently, i had a combination sixtieth birthday party, farewell party and funeral last saturday. I invited my closest 300 people, you know. This 300 people in four hours,. But when i saw the video, it was so funny. It was like, yer, this is human life,you know. It can be wonderful but also very painful. As bist monk, we didn't really, we couldn't afford from shying away from the fact of physical death because there were so many reminders. And these bodies are not permanent things. Were visitors.
