The Eucharist Increases Charity in Us
The eucharist gives us an opportunity to exercise our faith in christ more perfectly. Saint thomas also calls this sacrament the uplifter of our hope. The fact that we're so familiarly united with christ in thes sacrament gives us hope for being united with him eternally. But even more than faith and hope, for saint thomas, the eucharist is the sacrament of charity.
