I run a brain preservation company called Nectome that is based on trying to preserve brains to eventually upload them. The logic behind that is that I think will eventually have the technology to read these brains and essentially emulate them. But by my own metrics judging whether an AI would be what I would consider generally intelligent, I would judge something like Chachi Pto already be generally intelligent. And I think that's very substantial. It clearly hasn't gotten to destroy the world yet.
