The Different Types of Gifts of the Holy Spirit
Gifts are external principles of us that still need the Holy Spirit to hook up to them, you could say. But never just as you say, God, moting you without you being freely involved in that way, that's not what the gifts are about. I think actually the boat analogy is supposed between rowing and sailing because in rowing, it's all you. Whereas in sailing, it's cooperation of you raising the sails and the wind hitting the sails.
