The Differences Between Trademark and Copyright Law
trademarks are not mentioned in the US Constitution. Two trademarks are generally speaking for an unlimited period of time. They don't sort of sunset as long as the trademark owner is vigilant in protecting their rights and enforcing the trademarks through things like cease and desist letters, etc. So that was where the evidence sort of developed.
