How to Get Good Taste

We all have the ability to get good taste. It's just where we choose to have good taste in, potentially. And different people choose to pay closer attention to different things and mainly pick up patterns. People might put more effort into picking up patterns in music, but not visual design. The same mechanic is responsible for people who are good at social interaction. They've picked up on these patterns and they naturally know how to respond to them. So I think it's an important tool to have in your toolkit - something very worthy of investing time as a designer.
