Is There a Difference Between Marriage and Relationship?

i study personality and i read an article not long ago about the fact that you really, actually don't get to know somebody very well until about 18 months are over. And of course, if it's in a good relationship, you keep learning things about them 30 years later. I think that's one of the problems wih american marriage.
