Shakespeare's La Pussell
In Shakespeare's version, the English authorities consider Joan of Arc to be a witch. She uses her spells to conjure spirits who have been giving her advice. Much of the middle part of the play concerns the ongoing war against the French. The conflicts become more prominent over the course of the three parts of the play.
