The Second Mistake in the Iraqi Command Center
Two young lieutenants were responsible for approving the mortar mission. One of them looked at a card for a different mortar mission, telling the battalion commander 400 meters. The barricade that they're trying to take out is just over 100 meters from the school house. Their commanding officer said he should get a letter of caution for failing to staff the command center properly.
