The Sleep Benefits of Mind-Body Exercises

Cycling produces the most robust improvements in deep non-rem sleep, at least relative to running. Most other sleep metrics that we typically measure, such as total sleep time, sleep efficiency, and your subjective sense of the quality of your own sleep all benefit from cycling and running with equally large effect. The longer people exercise for  the greater the total amount of sleep that they get on average overall.
