Turning Towards Distressing Emotions

Normally when emotions are unpleasant, we naturally turn away. Can we begin to turn towards these emotions in a way that might unveil what's going on? To see the process clearly, we don't look directly at the mind for too long. We'd have to start with small things just to experiment,. But the aim would be to see what happens if we allow some small emotional turbulence to in awareness and witness how easily the mind creates extra noise because we don't like it. That's what we'll practise to day.
