Is There a Jury in the Netherlands?
In the Netherlands there is a kind of we actually slightly different issue but we did away with a direct referendum which is where people sometimes get to vote directly on some government issue that may or not go into a single direction. It became more of this tool for like more populist parties to make a statement or to sway public opinion and I guess that's also why we are reluctant to engage with more citizen driven decision making because it's so vulnerable for emotional and more populist influence yeah.
