Nets are a way of softly catching a projectile moving towards something. Technology has moved on quite a bit since the Second World War. The idea is that the net forms a barrier so that the drone gets caught in that. And because it's got an impact fuse, it probably won't go off. But they can only scale up to a certain size if you're trying to protect a large position.
