The Commission Recommends More Robust Vents in Case of Depressurization
After the american airlines incident, they had recommended more robust vents in case of de pressurization so that the passenger compart ment wouldn't collapse. The commission is of the opinion that their applications should be mandatory and implemented as soon as possible to all aircraft of this type. "The accident shows the necessary redundancy of the flight controls could be inadequate when the routing of the systems as a whole was concentrated at points where structural damage could occur"
