The Death of Doug
The film focuses on the idea of mortality and how we consider our lives in the face of that. "We spent exhaustive hours going through hundreds of hours of archival, conjuring up Doug," says director Tom Hanks. Some of the footage is from a 2008 climbing trip to Cerro Christina with Yvonne Rick, Doug, my friend, Jeff Johnson.
