Jefferson's Response to Anne Kerry Randolph, Bankhead
Many people live in deserts of sorts where they can't access mental health care that they need or might benefit from. We're not all working with the same resources, even though we live in the same country. Access is huge. And we have superb mental health care for the haves. So Jefferson's response to this, you know, and he's a very upbeat man. He's almost the Pollyanna of American history. But it certainly is a corrective to any notion we have of the sage of Monticello quietly going about his idyllic life on the mountain after he retired from the presidency.
