The Importance of the Word of God

Josiah was able to accomplish on a not just in Jerusalem but on a national scale because of the reforms which he initiated. If Josiah would have simply said oh well fine then I'm not going to worry about it what would have prevented all these people from continuing down the path of death in their idolatries? We will pick up next week where Josiah is saying hey if I knew the world was ending tomorrow I'd still do my reforms today and that's what he's gonna do so we'll get into that next week.
